Update: Three pedestrians injured in serious Donegal town collision

Gardaí have confirmed that three pedestrians have been injured following a ‘a serious road traffic collision’ in Donegal town tonight.

“A car struck a number of pedestrians on Castle Street, Donegal town, and three persons, male and female aged in their 50s and 60s were removed from the scene to Letterkenny University Hospital. Investigations ongoing,” a garda spokesperson said.

The condition of the injured is not known at this time.

The incident occurred at approximately 8 pm at the junction of Castle Street and The Diamond.

The area is cordoned off, diversions are in place and Gardaí remain at the scene.

People are asked to avoid the area.
