Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred on the Donegal Road, Ballybofey close to the Mulrines factory on Saturday the 9th of September between 11.25pm and 11.30pm.
The victim was assaulted by two males who then fled on foot in the direction of Ballybofey Town.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained, none of which are believed to be life threatening in nature.
A Garda spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who may have travelled on that stretch of road (Donegal Road) who had a dash cam between 11.20pm and 11.45pm to make contact with Gardaí. If anybody witnessed the incident or if they have any relevant information we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.”
