Three people were rescued yesterday evening from Maghera strand, after being left stranded on rocks by an incoming tide.
Crew from the Arranmore RNLI as well as the Killybegs Coast Guard were tasked to the scene at around quarter past 7 yesterday evening.
The three people were rescued at the rocks by the Arranmore RNLI’s Y-boat and taken to Portnoo pier, before crew from the Killybegs Coast Guard assisted in getting them back to their car in Maghera by road.
In a post on social media, the Killybegs Coast Guard said that it was ” a great call by the persons to call for help in a very timely manner with daylight fading fast”.
