Funding of €35,000 has been allocated to improve a walkway between Orchard Grove and Ballyraine Park housing estates in Letterkenny.
The work will involve improving the surface of the pathway below the soccer pitch and the installation of a raised crossing at Orchard Grove.
Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly has welcomed the funding allocation from the NTA following calls from residents for improved safety for pedestrians in the area.
“I’m delighted for the residents in the area and I want to thank Donegal County Council for meeting me on the ground and putting a successful application forward,” Cllr Kelly said.
