Gardaí are continuing to hunt for two men and a woman who are believed to be behind a string of thefts from businesses in Letterkenny at the weekend.

Thousands of euro worth of goods were stolen from various retail premises in Lisnennan, Kiltoy, Port Road and both Retail Parks on Saturday.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who saw a grey Toyota Avensis with a partial registration of ‘12D19’ in the above areas between 10am and 12pm.

Garda Claire Rafferty said two men and a woman are sought in relation to these thefts.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we ask anybody with relevant information or dash cam footage to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074- 9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Meanwhile as the Christmas shopping season is not far away, Garda Rafferty also urged all retailers to adopt and promote good shoplifting crime prevention measures.

“Every business should review their security measures on a regular basis,” she said.

“Should you wish to discuss security measures for your business premises, then please contact Sergeant Paul Wallace (Crime Prevention Officer) at Letterkenny Garda Station and he will be happy to assist.”
