A nine year old boy has died following a hit-and-run collision in Bundoran last night.
The incident is believed to have happened at approximately 9:20pm, on Atlantic Way in the town.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident shortly after it occurred.
A post-mortem will be carried out at Sligo University Hospital in due course, and there are currently traffic diversions in place in the area.
Anyone who witnessed the incident has been asked by Gardaí to come forward – including anyone who may have any dash cam footage, and was driving in the Atlantic Way area of Bundoran around the time of the crash.
