The Rescue 118 helicopter as well as multiple emergency services crews were called to Lisfannon Beach in Buncrana this morning following a medical emergency.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a woman had a suspected cardiac arrest.
Crews from Rescue 118, as well as the Greencastle Coast Guard, the Buncrana Fire Service as well as the Ambulance Service attended the scene.
It’s believed that a qualified nurse and consultant doctor were both on the beach at the time, and were able to perform CPR on the woman before emergency services arrived.
The woman has been transferred to Letterkenny University Hospital. Her condition is currently unknown.
