Multiple Dublin Airport flights have been cancelled today with Storm Agnes due to make landfall.

The cancelled flights included the Dublin to Donegal route to Carrickfinn airport at 12.50pm. Subsequently, the 1.15pm return from Donegal to Dublin has also been cancelled.

The flights are among a dozen Aer Lingus and British Airways flights disrupted at Dublin Airport.

The 18:50 evening flight from Dublin to Donegal remains on schedule.

Airline passengers are being advised to check their airline’s websites for the latest information.

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit Ireland throughout the day, bringing flooding risks and possibility of power outages.

While the northwest is expected to escape the worst of the storm, Status Orange wind and rain warnings are in effect for the southern counties.

A Status Yellow rain warning has also been issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
