Man, 60s, drowns off Donegal coast

The body of a man in his 60s has been recovered from the water off south Donegal.

The emergency services were alerted that a man was in the water off Bruckless yesterday at 5pm.

The man, who is believed to be from the locality, was taken form the water a short time later.

However, he was pronounced time a short time later.

He was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem is to be carried out.

A file on the incident will now be prepared for County Coroner, Dr Denis McCauley.
