Treaty FC 2 v 0 Finn Harps
Finn Harps suffered defeat in Limerick this evening as Treaty United fought back with goals in the second half.
Harps brought both Noa Baba and Aaron McLaughlin into the starting line-up, the latter making his first start, with Stephen Doherty and Seamas Keogh dropping to the bench.
The home side dominated the early stages, Success Edogun, Dean George twice and Lee Devitt, also twice, all had chances to open the scoring but a mixture of poor finishing and some good defending by Harps denied them.
Harps came more into the game in the latter part of the half without creating anything of note and with Treaty also failing to build on their good start the game reached half-time scoreless.
Five minutes into the second-half the home side was awarded a penalty, Marc Ludden converted to finally give Treaty United the lead. It didn’t take long for Treaty to add a second goal, Dean George steering the ball to the net following a corner in the 63rd minute as Harps failed to clear.
Harps went close in the 75th minute, Jamie Watson’s cross finding substitute Max Hutchison whose shot was well saved by Corey Chambers. Harps Keeper Antonio Tuta made an excellent double save to deny Success Edogun in the 80th minute. It finished 2-0 to Treaty United who continue their quest for that last play-off spot in Division One.
