Dungloe Gardaí are investigating the carrying out of a sinister act of criminal damage on a lorry in the town last week.

On Thursday morning, October 12, between 8.15am and 09.15am, a parked lorry had its load restraining straps cut at Gweedore Road, Meenmore.

Luckily, Garda Niall Maguire said, the driver noticed the damage before setting off.

“This could’ve been a very dangerous situation,” he added.

Anyone with information should contact Dungloe Garda Station 0749521000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111.
