It has been confirmed this evening that one of Donegal’s longest running educational supplies businesses will close at the end of the month.
Sprint Educational Supplies announced ‘with great sadness’ they will close both their stores in Letterkenny and Donegal town on the 31st of October.
“This decision wasn’t made lightly,” they posted on their Facebook page.
“Since we took over the stores in 2019, we have had to deal with covid, the increase of online shopping, the never ending increasing costs of running a small business, and the new government book scheme which has made it impossible for our business to survive.”
They took the opportunity to thank all of their ‘wonderful loyal customers’ who have supported them over the years.
“We also would like to thank our wonderful staff, Aisling, Roisin, Adina, Helen, Louise, Lucia, Caolán, Katie, and Kym, who have been so hardworking and dedicated.
“Nothing was ever a problem, they done all they could for the customer and ourselves.
We wish you all the best in whatever lies ahead for you.
“Thanks again to everyone who has supported us on our journey, and please remember to shop local. It’s your local businesses that support the local communities.”
They will be closing on Monday, the 23rd of October, to prepare for their closing down sale, which will start on Tuesday, the 24th of October, at 9am.
Their website will no longer be in operation so as to avoid any confusion.
