Three projects in Donegal won awards at the annual National Heritage Week Awards ceremony held last week.
The awards were handed out following an awards ceremony in Offaly.
The Inishowen Rivers Trust/Loughs Agency won the Water Heritage Award for their work on the Culdaff River Heritage Workshop, where local historians gave residents and participants an opportunity to find out more about the history and significance of the river.
The Irish Language Event Award went to Donegal-based Togra Fiontar and Cultúr Uladh, for their Feile Saibhreas na Síoraíochta event. It included an exploration of heritage houses starting at Teach Micí Mac Gabhannm, followed by a bus journey to Teach Mhúris in the parish of Gaoth Dobhair, and from there on to Teach Niall Ó Domhnaill in Na Rossa.
The Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter Committee was also given the local authority award for Donegal, for their work alongside the Elusive Theatre Company in creating the Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter Experience.
