Gardaí in Donegal have issued advice and safety tips to help everyone safe during this year’s Halloween festivities.
People are advised to keep away from bonfires due to the risk of them collapsing or exploding unexpectedly.
Gardaí are also reminding the public to avoid purchasing or using illegal fireworks, due to the harm and potential injury they can cause to the user or bystanders.
They’ve also reminded anyone who is out trick-or-treating this Halloween and wearing a darker costume to have some reflective material for when they’re out and about so they are easier spotted by motorists and other road users.
Finally, there is also a reminder to be mindful of neighbours when out celebrating, as loud noises from the likes of fireworks can easily scare people, and especially animals in the area around the celebrations.
