Rescue service teams were in action at Lough Swilly this evening after a person became injured on Inch Island.
It’s reported that a person suffered a leg injury and was cut off by the tide.
The SAR Rescue 118 helicopter, Greencastle Coast Guard and Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked to the area by Malin Head Coast Guard station shortly after 5pm.
The person was safely evacuated from the scene and transported to an ambulance.
