Investigation works are underway as water outages have been reported in Manorcunningham and the surrounding areas this morning.
Uisce Eireann say they are currently looking into the outages but there is currently no scheduled time for works to be completed.
Local Councillor Donal “Mandy” Kelly says that works are also due to begin next month to try and address the water outages in the Rossbracken and Raymoghy areas to alleviate the issues more permanently.
Cllr Kelly also says that he attended a meeting with Uisce Eireann officials earlier this week, which he says included discussions to “…ensure these works in Rossbracken and Raymoghy and also Bomany, Newmills, Conwall and Drummahaght ares don’t fall through the stools.”
“I have been assured by Uisce Eireann that there are still committed to have these problems resolved on the current time frames previously set out which is positive news and I will continue to keep the pressure on Uisce Eireann to ensure the works in these areas commence as soon as possible.”
