Planning permission has been granted for a new €650,000 all-purpose local sports facility just outside Ballyshannon.
Creevy Activity Hub CLG made the announcement on social media, with a 65mx40m astro turf pitch the centre-piece of the plans.
There will also be a 400 metre running track developed as part of the plans, and secondary multi-use games area with facilities for tennis and basketball.
New changing facilities, increased parking capabilities in the area as well as a community garden are also amongst the proposed plans for the development.
The Creevy Hub is seeking Government funding in order to progress the ambitious project from the drawing table into reality, as a number of local politicians as well as representatives from Government attended the public unveiling of the plans earlier this week.
