Concerns are growing for a young Donegal woman who went missing in Germany over the weekend.

Gaoth Dobhair woman Una Joyce, 23, is believed to have got on a bus at Reuchlin Strasse station in Berlin and travelled towards Hasenheide on Saturday night into Sunday morning.

She texted a friend at 12.35am to say she was on her way but never arrived.

Una has been living abroad for some years.

Friends and family of the young woman have been sharing a poster on social media in a bid to find her.

The poster reads: “Úna Joyce was last seen leaving Berlichingenstraße around 23:00 on 28 October. “She is believed to have been on a bus from Reuchlin Strasse bus station travelling towards Hasenheide.

“She texted a family friend at 00:35 to say she was on her way but never arrived. Úna is Irish with pale skin, blue eyes and dark curly hair. She was wearing a yellow rain jacket.”

A friend of the Joyce family said they would like to appeal through Donegal Daily to ask Donegal readers to help them find Una through friends abroad.

“If the public of Donegal could reach out to any family or friends living in Berlin as well that would be much appreciated,” said a family member.
