Gardaí are looking for the public’s help after a house was broken into in Letterkenny.

They say the incident happened in the early hours of last Wednesday morning, the 25th of October.

A man was dropped off by a taxi at The Gardens, Ballymacool at approximately 5am. He then entered a property in the area by smashing a glass door on the rear patio, and then remained in the house for 50 minutes.

Gardaí say they believe nothing was stolen in the break-in however.

They are appealing to anyone who saw a lone man on foot in the Ballymacool area early last Wednesday morning to come forward.

Gardaí are also asking anyone driving in the Ballymacool area between 5am and 6:15am who has dash cam footage to make it available to them.
