Ann-Marie McGlynn’s national title victory in Sunday’s Dublin Marathon capped off an extremely successful weekend for Letterkenny AC’s runners.
Not only did she win the women’s national title with a commanding time of 2 hours and 34 minutes, but she also recorded a fifth overall finish in the women’s marathon outright.
The other times for the Letterkenny AC runners who finished the marathon are as follows: Paul Caulfield ran 2:52:06, Paddy Friel 2:59:14, Kevin Ferry 2:58:33, Adrian Callaghan 3:11:01, Stephen Shiels 3:19:02, Gary Kearns 3:34:27, Mark McFadden 3:31:20, Derek Campbell 3:31:14, Chris McMenamin 3:56:09, Pat Brady 4:24:15, Caroline Brady 4:00:24, Odhrán McGowan 4:20:57, Garrett Doherty 3:19:30, Martin O’Donnell 4:19:53, Noreen McGettigan 3:50:07, Graeme Michie 4:26:17 and Ciaran O’Donnell 3:48:17.
The Frankfurt Marathon contingent also put in some fine performances with Ciaran McGonagle running 2:33:27, Raymond Birch 2:44:11, Kevin McGee 2:46:14 and Eamon O’Boyle 3:46:39.
Barry Mackey continues his Dubai race series running 1:31:06 in the Half Marathon finishing second in his category.
Closer to home Nakita Burke finished the Spooktacular 5km road race in Enniskillen in a time of 16:56 while Aidan McKenna finished in 19:57.
