Uisce Eireann have confirmed that works are currently underway this morning, after water outages were reported in Buncrana.
They say that a valve failure has occurred, affecting the Sleadrin and Backhill areas just outside Buncrana.
Works are currently underway to fix the issue, with repairs expected to be finished by 3pm this afternoon.
Locals are asked to expect some traffic disruptions as it is being fixed, and to allow 2-3 hours after the scheduled repair time before full water supply may return.
