Breaking: Two pedestrians injured in serious collision in south Donegal

Update: The road has reopened, as of 2pm


Two pedestrians have been injured after being struck by a vehicle on the N3 at Ballyshannon in the early hours of this morning.

Both casualties were taken to hospital, where they continue to receive medical treatment.

Emergency services continue to work at the scene of the incident at Templenew. The road is closed for a technical examination and will remain closed this morning.

Diversions are in place.

Gardaí are urging motorists to please avoid the area if possible.
