End of an era for Carndonagh store after 50 years

The Shoe and Sport Store, a staple of Carndonagh since 1970, is set to close its doors this Tuesday.

Owner Christy Doherty recently announced his retirement and is now offering all remaining stock at a discounted rate.

The shop’s closure has left many customers with fond memories of getting kitted out in the latest styles and fashions.

The shop will be dearly missed in the town’s close-knit business community, and many customers will miss the personalised service and attention to detail that the Shoe and Sport Store provided.
