An incredible €49,378 has been raised by the local community in West Donegal to help the family of an 8 year old boy.
The money was raised to fund new specialised equipment, as well as a purpose-built bedroom for Oisín Campbell, as his family caters to his needs in their new home.
The money was raised through a number of incredible fundraising efforts, including a charity “shave and swim”, which saw local priest Fr Brian O’Fearraigh shave his famous locks for charity, as local swimming group Na Selkies took to the freezing autumn waters for a charity swim at the same time.
Funds were also raised by a group that took on a 24 hour cycle, and a table quiz as well.
