The Market Square in Clonmany will be bustling with excitement on Sunday 26th November, as the annual Christmas lights switch on takes place at 5pm.
This event marks the beginning of the festive season in the village, and everyone of all ages is welcome to join in on the fun.
Local singers and musicians will be performing Christmas songs to set the mood for the evening. In addition, school groups from the area will be singing traditional Christmas carols. Children can enjoy some hot chocolate as they take in the festive atmosphere.
No Christmas event would be complete without a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be in attendance to spread some holiday cheer. The Clonmany Tidy Towns committee is thrilled to welcome everyone to come together and witness the lighting of the Christmas tree and street lights. It promises to be a magical moment as the lights brighten up the village.
The success of this event is thanks to the tireless efforts of local volunteers, and the support of the community.
Organisers said: “Thanks to all local support and help to all volunteers who have worked hard making this event possible. A special thanks to Clonmany Festival for their continued support with this project.”
A fundraising campaign is open to ensure the continuation of this event for years to come: https://gofund.me/c1a9813e
