Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris, aged between 16 and 18, were reported missing at the weekend.
A major police search had been ongoing since Sunday after the friends went missing on a camping trip in the Snowdonia area in Gwynedd.
The alarm was raised when the young men failed to return home.
Their Ford Fiesta car was found by a member of the public on Tuesday morning, partially submerged in water.
Their deaths have been described as a tragic accident, according to police.
The teenagers all attended the same school in Shrewsbury and had been studying for their A-levels.
