Farmers in Donegal accounted for a fifth of all payments submitted under the National Farmer Safety Measure (NFSM).
According to this week’s Farmers Journal, 288 of the 1,442 payments were from the county. The claims included the purchase of 308 quad bike helmets and 269 PTO shaft covers.
