The Donegal Community Games held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday evening at the Station House Hotel in Letterkenny.
All the existing members of the committee were re-elected, including Chairperson Manus O’Donnell, Secretary Sinead Hagan, Treasurer Cathal Hagan, PRP Tony McCarry, and Children’s Officer Brian Faul.
Chairperson Manus O’Donnell expressed gratitude towards everyone for getting Donegal Community Games ranked among the top six counties in Ireland.
It was another successful year with numerous medals won by the county in team events and individual events.
O’Donnell thanked everyone who made this possible and emphasized that without the effort from everyone in the community games circle, it would not have been possible.
President Sean McGinley also thanked everyone for their support throughout the year. He said he was delighted to see so many young people taking part and enjoying themselves at the community games. He thanked all the areas for their hard work and encouraged any new areas wanting to join the community games to contact any member of the committee.
The committee also took the opportunity to wish Chairperson Manus O’Donnell a happy 65th birthday and presented him with a cake. Overall, it was a successful meeting, and the committee is looking forward to another exciting year ahead.
