Four fishermen have been rescued after their vessel sank in Lough Foyle between Donegal and Derry this afternoon.
It is understood the men were fishing for herring when their vessel began to take on water.
A mayday alert was called and the Malin Head Coastguard Station began to co-ordinate a rescue mission around 1.30pm this afternoon.
Portrush Lifeboat, the Rescue 118 helicopter based out of Sligo and the Greencastle Coastguard Unit were all involved in the rescue.
All four men who were saved are understood to be from Greencastle in Co Donegal as is the stricken vessel.
It is understood the men have been medically examined and none required further treatment.
