When it comes to saving money on electricity, Donegal people area ahead of the pack.
The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show that local energy users are canny when it comes to switching off the lights and other appliances.
Donegal consumers had the lowest median electricity bills compared t the rest of the country in 2022.
The average electricity spend was €746 in Donegal.
This compared very favourably with a number of other counties including Kildare which had the highest electricity bill of €1,043.
