Planning permission was granted for 376 construction projects in Donegal during the third quarter of 2023, according to the latest Central Statistics Office (CSO) report.
Of these, 144 new dwellings were given the green light as well as with 103 extensions. Planning was also granted for 37 alteration and construction projects and for 92 other new construction developments in the county.
However, the report found, the Border Region (Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, and Monaghan) recorded the lowest number of apartment units (84) to be granted planning permission.
