It has been a busy month for the volunteer crew of the Arranmore RNLI.
The crew of the all-weather lifeboat has responded to four calls for medical evacuations since 11 November.
The latest call was at 11.10pm last night (25 November).
Coxswain, Jimmy Early said his crew are delighted to be in a position to help others saying it was a privilege to do so.
He said “As an emergency service we are happy to be involved in transporting patients in need of medical assistance.
“We provide a twenty four hour service all year round and ask people not to hesitate if they see someone in difficulty on the sea to dial 112 or 999 and ask for the Coast Guard. As the RNLI celebrate 200 years of saving lives in 2024 we are privileged to be part of this vital organisation.”
