The switching-on of the Dunkineely Christmas lights has been rescheduled for this Thursday evening.

Storm Erin forced the local community to cancel their big festive event on Saturday, however, they didn’t give up that easily.

Join them for their rescheduled Christmas lights switch-on event which will take place on Thursday at 6:30pm.

“We will be visited by Santa and singers, for some festive songs and fun,” a spokesperson for Dunkineely Community Group said.

“If you wish to donate to the cause, you will be funding new lights, decorations and the annual costs of running the lights. Donation tins can be found in the butcher’s, Floyd’s Mace and the pubs in Dunkineely. You can also email dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com
