Cathaoirleach of Glenties Municipal District Cllr Michael McClafferty has made another call for Uisce Eireann to openly inform residents of Falcarragh/Gortahork about local water issues.
Another water outage in the area this week prompted Cllr McClafferty to once again seek answers on what problems exist with the local treatment plant.
“This is no good,” Cllr McClafferty said, “Uisce Eireann need to come out of hiding and tell people what’s actually wrong in Gortahork once and for all.”
Cllr McClafferty said his requests for a meeting with Uisce Eireann have been in vain.
“I got a call yesterday from Irish Water in relation to a complaint last August,” he said.
“And I was still told they would see what could they do in relation to a meeting I requested about these local issues.”
