Billionaire JP McManus is to gift every GAA county board in Ireland an incredible €1 million.

The huge gesture by the Limerick businessman is intended for investment in all codes of Gaelic games.

Counties have yet to receive official confirmation, but word has filtered through to GAA top brass and also to county board officers that an unexpected bonanza is on the way!

McManus donated a generous €100,000 to every county board in a similar gesture back in 2018.

The donation from the JP McManus Charitable Foundation is to be evenly divided between GAA, camogie and ladies football clubs.

The money is a huge boost for the promotion of the GAA across the country including locally in Donegal.
