A recent HIQA report shows that Donegal lost 43 available nursing home beds last year.
It’s after they published their overview report for 2022, detailing its monitoring of the nursing home sector.
The report also covered figures for the four year period from 2019 to 2022, showing a total loss in nursing home beds for Donegal of 33.,
Nationally in 2022, 14 nursing homes in the state closed, with the loss of 414 nursing beds from the system last year.
