Councillor Donegal ‘Mandy’ Kelly has welcomed confirmation that water mains pipes in the Bomany and Newmills areas are to be upgraded.
He said he’s ‘delighted’ Uisce Eireann has agreed the existing mains water pipes are undersized and is now committed to installing 6km of new mains in 2024.
“Although a date is not set, this is fantastic news and I can assure you all I will keep as much pressure on as possible to have these works started and completed as soon as possible in 2024,” Cllr Kelly said.
He said the planned works, which he lobbied for, will resolve the low pressure issues being experienced by customers in the area.
He said he will also be aiming for after the works are completed in Raymoghy and Rossbracken areas of Mannorcunnigham.
“I want to thank all the residents in these areas for their continued support, such as logging outages, and also want to thank you all for your patience.”
