Met Éireann has issued a thunderstorm warning for County Donegal today.
The national forecaster says that there will be scattered thunderstorms throughout today, with the status yellow warning in place from now until 9pm tonight. They have warned of the possibility of power outages, hazardous travelling conditions and the potential for localised flooding.
A status yellow wind and rain warning has also been issued for the county – that one will be in effect until 6am tomorrow morning.
Similar weather warnings are also in place for Munster and Connacht this morning.
