Urgent search for ring lost following Christmas engagement

A heartbroken Letterkenny woman is appealing for the return of her engagement ring, which was lost just days after the proposal.

The woman, who only got engaged on Christmas Day, was in the Mount Errigal hotel on Friday when she last had the ring (pictured above). She took it off to wash her hands in the bar toilets at around 9pm, but forgot to put it back on. When she went back to check a short time later, it was missing.

The woman has reported the loss to the hotel and Gardaí. She is also appealing to anyone who was in the hotel on the night and may have seen the ring to get in touch.

The ring can also be returned anonymously to the Gráinne Edwards Beauty & Skin Clinic, by dropping it in the salon letterbox between the salon shutters.
