The emergency services are at what is suspected to be a serious crash on the outskirts of Letterkenny at Illistrin.
It is understood one vehicle was involved in the crash on the N56 at the Ballyare Junction at Illistrin.
A large tailback of traffic has also built up in the area following the crash which occurred just before 7pm.
The N56 road has been closed by Gardai.
