A circuit court judge at the centre of a sexual assault scandal has officially resigned from his position.
59-year-old Gerard O’Brien was found guilty last month of nine counts of sexual assault on six different men in the 1990s.
Today his resignation was confirmed by Justice Minister Helen McEntee.
O’Brien is set to be sentenced on the 4th of March.
