Black ice is being reported in some areas of Donegal this morning and road users are advised to be cautious.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann says it will be another cold and frosty start across Ulster. Cloud will gradually break up this morning with some good sunny spells developing. Staying mainly dry too with easterly breezes but it’s still rather cold with temperatures struggling to reach highs of just 2 to 4 degrees.

It will stay mainly dry tonight but it’ll be very cold as skies clear and winds fall light. Temperatures will fall to -3 to zero degrees with widespread frost and some icy patches expected.

There will be another very cold start tomorrow with frost and ice slowly clearing as some good winter sunshine develops later in the morning. A little cloud will develop in the afternoon but it will stay mostly dry with highs of 3 to 6 degrees in an easterly breeze.
