New traffic measures in Glenties to prevent turning

Motorists in Glenties are being advised to take care due to new traffic management measures.

New bollards have been erected at the junction of the N56/R250 at the Marian grotto, towards Lettermacaward.

The Glenties Community Development Group says the bollards have been installed at the end of the traffic island to improve safety of crossing pedestrians and to prevent traffic delays.

The lane arrow sign has been moved out in an attempt to prevent vehicles from turning at this location.

“Please be mindful of these new installations,” they said.
