We kicked off 2024 with a visit to the stunning setting of Murvagh.

A brisk morning awaited us as Danny Conaghan got our 3rd outing of the season underway.

Tommy O’Neill took 1st prize with a magnificent score of 43 pts. It may have been a chilly morning but Tommy’s putter was anything but cold.

Paddy McDaid and Éanna Ó Mainín each scored 39 pts with Paddy just edging Éanna for 2nd place on a B.O.T.
Leo Gallagher collected 4th prize on 37 pts, also on a B.O.T.

Marcel, Jim & Captain Elaine ensuring all the paperwork is in order

Éanna Ó Mainín leads the way in the Golfer of the Year with 51 pts followed closely by Myles Sweeney on 47 pts. Tommy O’Neill on 38 pts and John Bosco Gallagher on 36 pts complete the top four.

After Round 3 of the Magnificent 7 Signature Hole competition, Aidan Guthrie and Marcel McCafferty lead the way on 7 pts followed by 6 golfers on 5 pts.

Special thanks to all in Murvagh for hosting us and for their hospitality on the day.

Our next outing takes us to Cruit Island Golf Club on Saturday, 17th Feb. New members are always welcome. Contact any member of the Society for details.
