Large quantity of cash and cigarettes stolen in Culdaff raid

A substantial amount of cash and cigarettes was stolen when raiders broke into a premises on Tuesday last, January 9th.

The burglars broke into the premises on the town’s Main Street between midnight and 6.20am.

The rear door of the premises had been forced open and entry was gained and a substantial amount of cigarettes and cash was taken.

Gardai are particularly appealing to anybody who is offered bulk sales of cheap cigarettes to get in touch with them.

A Garda spokepesron said “We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity in that area in the early hours of Tuesday morning to make contact with Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.

“Should anybody be offered cigarettes for sale in bulk we ask them to make us aware immediately. If anybody can assist with relevant information they can also contact the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
