A new Irish TV series will be venturing to the hills of Donegal to explore the origins of the O’Donnell surname.
‘Sloinne’ on TG4 will feature Hannah Ní Dhomhnaill, who is originally from the Donegal Gaeltacht, on a journey finding out more about her heritage.
The series begins this weekend, with the Ó Domhnaill episode airing on 18th February at 8.30pm.
The full list of surnames featured in the seven-part series include Ó Flaithearta, Ó Murchú, Ó Ceallaigh, Ó Suilleabháin, Ó Domhnaill, Seoighe and Ó Conchubhair.
