Dunkineely Community Ltd will be holding an open meeting to discuss plans for this year’s Dunkineely St Patrick’s Parade.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 31 st January, at 7:30pm in MacLaughlin’s Dunkineely. All are welcome.
Last year’s parade was a big success, bringing crowds of people into town. If you want to be part of this great event, come along and have your say. Anyone looking to have a float or sponsor the event can let us know at dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com. Float entry is free!
Geantraí at McIntyres
A new series of the traditional music programme starts on TG4 at 10:30pm on 28 th January.
Episode 4 will look at our very own McIntyre’s Bar and feature Killaghtee Festival favourite, Kevin O’Donnell, as well as other artists from across Donegal.
These include Eugene McKenna, Ciarán McKenna and Peter McKenna, Lauren O’Neill, Matt McGranaghan, Jim Byrne, Síle Friel, Peter Campbell, Máirin Kerrigan, Bernard Kelly and Martin McGinley.
The series pays tribute to musicians and the unique venues hosting these sessions, promising a unique night of music in each episode, from West Cork to Dunkineely.

Active Retirement
The Killaghtee Active Retirement Association meets every second Wednesday at the Dunkineely GAA Centre and welcomes visitors wanting to know about the group and its activities, as well as those individuals wishing to become members.
The next, regular, meeting of the Killaghtee Active Retirement Association is scheduled to be held on Wednesday 7 th February, at 2:00pm.

Church Services
Methodist Church: Normal Sunday Services will be held at 10:30am in Ardara and 12 noon in Dunkineely.
Catholic Church: Mass will be held at the normal times. Mass can also be viewed on the Bruckless Church – St Joseph and St Conal Facebook page.
Eucharistic Adoration is on Friday from 11am to 3pm.
Confession can be heard before weekend Masses or arrange a time by contacting Fr Brady at the Parochial House (074 973 7015).
Church of Ireland: There will be no service in Killaghtee this weekend, with alternative services at Killybegs 9:15am, Inver 10:45am, and Mountcharles at noon.
