Storm Isha: Lucky escape after garden shed almost strikes house

A young east Donegal family had a lucky escape after a garden shed crashed into a pole in front of their house last night.

The incident occurred at Crossroads, Killygordon, shortly after 10pm. It is understood the shed took flight from a nearby house during the height of Storm Isha. The structure is lodged in an ESB pole. Luckily, no one was injured and no damage was caused to the home.

Meanwhile, around an hour later, damage was also caused to the nearby Aruivo milk plant (below) when a silo toppled over onto the main building while cladding was ripped off another large tank.
