Donegal County Council is reporting a number of trees down in several areas that are blocking roads.

There is a fallen tree on L- 5362/2 Cratlagh to Coole Road, Milford, and the council is advising motorists to avoid this route.

Meanwhile, ESB crews are continuing their efforts to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses across the county. Some still have not had their supply restored since Storm Isha hit on Monday night while others suffered outages last night.

The ESB is urging people to keep away from fallen or low hanging wires. Call their Emergency Number 1800 372 999 to report any issues.

Road users to exercise caution today because there will be widespread disruption as crews and other agencies attempt to clear the roads.

Donegal County Council can be contacted during normal business hours on 074 91 53900 and in the event of an out-of-hours emergency the Council’s Road Service/Housing Department can be contacted on 074 91 72288.  For emergencies requiring the assistance of the Fire Service call 999 or 112.

The public are asked to keep up to date with the current weather warnings and in particular any change in the status warning for their area.

You can keep up to date on conditions in your area by signing up for free alerts to your phone by registering at www.mapalerter.com/donegal or by following Donegal County Council on Facebook or on X (Twitter) @DonegalCouncil
