A Coffee Morning will take place in Buncrana next week in order to raise funds for a much needed defibrillator at Ludden Beach.

The Swilly Seals swimming club will host the event at O’Flaherty’s Bar, Main Street, on Friday 2 February, from 10.30am to 2pm.

It is planned to erect the lifesaving device in memory of the late Swilly Seals member,  Sinead McLaughlin. The much loved Mrs McLaughlin (née Monteith) passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital after taking ill at the beach last September.

“We would be delighted for you to Join us in supporting a life-saving cause,” a spokesperson for the club said.

“We are also selling tickets to raise funds and your contribution can make a real difference. You can purchase your tickets now and be part of creating a safer environment for everyone. Together, we can make a lifesaving impact.”

All extra donations raised will be donated to the local RNLI and First Responders.

Tickets costing just €2 each, or three for €5, can be purchased from Bradley’s Service Station, Fahan, Applegreen, Ludden and Fringe Hair Salon, West End, Buncrana.

Alternatively, they can be bought via Revolut to 0876521104 with your name and phone number.

For further information, and updates, go to the Defibrillator for Ludden Beach Facebook page.
